Expectedly the ones with poor health/preexisting conditions were hit hard but unexpectedly, yet sadly, people from lower socio-economical strata were affected even more severely. As if the poor health infrastructure was not enough COVID-19 and related lockdowns broke many economies to ruin. Let alone low-income African countries, once a poster child for economic growth-India is yet to pick up the pieces.
